Toonime is an American adult animated television series created by Aleks Josef Hudock for The CW. It was produced by Hudic Animate Records and distributed by Warner Bros. Animation. The original concept behind the series' premise and reputation is derived from differences between the traditional animated styles of Japanese anime and American cartoons. Toonime is focused on the satirical and outlandish adventures of the show's main characters, Ditzy Dawg (a foul-mouthed, witty, sarcastic, overly ambitious cartoon dog) and Mika Yotoneko (a bubbly, carefree, gullible, bothersome anime neko girl), as they experience various occurrences that happen in the city of New Tokyork (a combination of Tokyo and New York City) and the cross-dimensional universe they live in.
Toonime was met with positive reviews from critics. It has also acclaimed its legacy as the first and currently only distributed Warner Bros. Animation series to be marketed towards adult audiences.
